Gerry O’Dell  has a M.S. in Microbiology with over 25 years of experience in the microbiology and sterilization practices of the healthcare industry.  During this time, she has provided the technical knowledge in support to product and process sterilization validation, both as an employee of Johnson & Johnson and for the last 9 years as a consultant.   

While EO and radiation sterilization are Gerry’s primary expertise she also has experience in other forms of sterilization as well.  In addition, she has experience in decontamination processes for contaminated devices and considerable knowledge of microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and the requirements for compliance to ISO and CEN.  Along with managing microbiological & sterilization testing laboratories, she has also managed laboratories associated with other phases of product testing including analytical, packaging and stability.
